There are many legislative changes which impact racial profiling and the law enforcement officer.
CCP 3.05-Racial profiling means law enforcement initiated action based on an individuals race, ethnicity, or nation origin rather than individual's behavior or on information identifying the individual as having engaged in criminal activity.
This course will discuss the legislative mandates including written Departmental Policies on Racial Profiling.
Racial Profiling training is required by the legislature for all peace officers prior to September 1, 2003.
