Report Writing

Report Writing
The most frequent problem plaguing law enforcement officers is that of writing law enforcement reports. Unfortunately, report writing is a fact of life for the law enforcement officer. Daily, sometimes hourly, you will be writing in a factual, accurate, complete yet brief manner, a law enforcement incident.
What you write in a law enforcement report will decide if persons are convicted and sent to jail or prison, and will greatly determine if property is recovered.
The first two lessons will be instructional, and the remainder of this course will be writing reports. If the student submits a report which require corrections, the student will be notified to contact the instructor by phone.
If there are excessive mistakes, the student will be required to resubmit the report. Also keep your dictionary handy for correct spelling.
This course is awarded 40 TCLEOSE credit hours.
